1 Cor 9:26-27 26 I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air: 27 but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

The Bible has more to say about God’s wrath than God’s love, but you would not know this if you listen to some preachers.

Becoming a Christian is not enough; we must also “finish well.”

Gal 5:4-6 4 Ye are severed from Christ, ye who would be justified by the law; ye are fallen away from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.
