a) Most of us at one time or another speak of “finding” something.
b) We speak of finding an address, finding something we have lost, or finding what someone else has lost.

3) God says when a man finds a wife he finds a “good thing.”
a) After a year of marriage a wife would like to know her husband is still glad he “found her.”
b) A wife would like to be assured of this same thing after 5, 10, and 20 years of marriage pass.

4) A man should strive to live “joyfully” with his wife.
5) If finding a wife is a “good thing,” a man should seek to live “joyfully” with his wife.
6) A husband should find pleasure and happiness in his wife.
7) Some find this joy for the first few months or years of marriage.
8) God says this joy should be for “all the days” that a husband and wife have with each other.
PROVERBS 19:14.
a) Here the writer says a “prudent” (understanding) wife comes “from the Lord.”

2) God says a prudent woman is “from him.”

2) God tells men to look at their mates and say: “I am thankful to God for you.
3) We have come together as a team and we have managed to get through together until now.
4) I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but I am glad we will probably go through it together.”
5) The world’s view of marriage is stay together until things get rough and then quit.
6) God’s view is keep working at things together and rejoice that you have a partner in life.

8) Uriah was a man who treasured his wife; he found joy in her.
9) This should be our goal today.
10) We do not need to be a Christian to live by the principles in the book of Proverbs.
11) Being a Christian will strengthen any marriage.
