When you sign an application, do you read the fine print? A Russian decided to find out if the employees of the bank itself read the fine print. Dmitry Argarkov, a 42-year-old business man received a credit application in the mail, scanned it into the computer, and began to write his own terms!
Among the terms, he set the interest to zero and gave himself unlimited credit. As a part of the “fine print,” he wrote in that if the bank tried to cancel the contract, it would owe Argarkov $200,000. The shrewd businessman then signed his contract and sent it back to the credit card company.
The company signed the contract. Argarkov used the credit card and then refused to pay the bill. Eventually, the company sued him for the debt along with interest and fees. Early last month, a Russian judge agreed with Agarkov! The bank had to uphold its end of the contract which its employees had signed!

We all know exactly what God expects out of us. There will be no surprises out of God on the day of judgment. What the New Testament says is what we will see on the day of judgment (John 12:48). The New Testament is God’s new covenant with mankind (Luke 22:20; 2 Corinthians 3:6-7; Hebrews 8:6, 8; 9:15; 12:24.
God will not expect more than what is written in the New Testament and He will not expect less than what is in the New Testament. He is faithful.
Also, God expects faithfulness to that covenant out of us. There is no “fine print” in His agreement. There is nothing hidden. No secret expectations. Nothing hard to understand (that is expected out of us). All the steps of the plan of salvation are no more than two syllables. All the acts of worship are no more than two syllables. The fruit of the Spirit, the Christian graces are all easy to understand.
So God expects us to uphold our end of the agreement. He demands faithfulness out of us (Matthew 23:23; Galatians 5:22; 3 John 3; Revelation 13:10).
Many people are counting on God not reading His contract on the day of judgment. But with God, there will be no breach of contract.
