In those times when I begin to feel lonely, when my heart is burdened, when the skies begin to darken and the storm rolls in, he knows and will supply my need (Matt. 6:8, Phil. 4:19, Heb. 4:13-16). Life today is worth living because he lives and cares for us (1 Pet. 5:7). Will we encounter adverse conditions in this life? The answer is a resounding “yes” (2 Cor. 4:8, 5:1-2). Even though emotionally we may feel the stress and heartache of some events in our life, we do not have to be distressed. Our Lord is the master of all storms. Because he lives, he is willing and able to calm all the storms we encounter in this life (Psalms 23, 56:3, 46:1, Heb. 6:18-19). I have a deep, abiding faith that God can and will solve all the problems that beset us on our journey through life.
