What is the Most Important Day Of The Week?

This will be the last post till 1/2/14.  May all have a great Christmas and a wonderful new year.

The most important day of next week is not Wednesday, December 25th. It is December 22nd. Sunday. The Lord’s Day. God does not have any concern over December 25th. Christmas has absolutely no spiritual value to it. No one can celebrate Christmas in any spiritual sense and then say to God, “I have done such and such, I know you are happy with me.” Christmas has no spiritual value at all.

The most important day of next week is Sunday, the day Christians assemble around the table of the Lord, celebrating His sacrifice and resurrection. We remind ourselves as well that Jesus is coming back again. Every Sunday is our memorial day.

Face the flag of stars and bars,

of red, and white, and blue,

a flag that guarantees the rights

for men like me and you.

This poem, written by Bill Ezell, expresses sentiments that patriotic Americans feel frequently. It suggests a bright future. It looks back at a strong past. Americans cherish their freedoms, liberties purchased with the blood of our sons and daughters.

As such for the insufficient flow of the blood into the male reproductive organ it causes ED. buy levitra vardenafil If there are viagra sales in india some chances, the physician tries to improve the condition with a combination of therapy and medicine. The goal of man is to focus on pleasurable sensations without just focusing on order cialis online lovemaking, at least for you. So, if you’re buy cheap levitra concerned about your manhood, don’t worry, just serve a candlelit meal with copious amounts of nutmeg and she’s sure to be impressed. Isaiah the prophet predicted, “In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples—of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious” (11:10). “Signal” – nes – means “flag, standard, ensign.” This root of Jesse is none other than Jesus Christ (Matt 1:6). Jesus Christ is our flag, our signal, our ensign. Jesus told His disciples, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”

It is not the nativity scene which is our banner, the signal of Christianity. Nor is it, for that matter, the crucifix. It is not the cross we ought to hang around our necks but Jesus we need to enthrone in our hearts (Colossians 3:1-2).

Jesus Christ, our flag, symbolizes freedom that Old Glory cannot touch. Sin and death reign over those who are not Christians (Rom. 6:12). Satan sits on the thrones of their hearts and dictates their lives (Rom. 6:17). The One who frees us from the law of sin and death is Jesus Christ – He redeems us through His blood (Eph. 1:7).

When we are forgiven of our sins through Jesus Christ – His blood washes us in baptism (Rom. 6:3-4), we are made free from sin (Rom. 6:18). The day we are baptized into Christ is a far greater day to remember than Memorial Day. Thus, every Lord’s Day is important to us because we remember that Supreme Sacrifice for our sins (1 Cor. 11:25).

Friends, don’t get distracted by the holidays of the world. The most important day of next week is still Sunday – the Lord’s Day. Face the flag – Jesus Christ. He guarantees the right to become Sons of God (John 1:12).

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!

Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

Redeemed through His infinite mercy,

His child and forever I am.
