1 Today we want to look at the subject of sin.

7) Adam and Eve died in two different ways.
They ate of the forbidden fruit and suffered physical death; they also suffered spiritual death.
9) In Rom. 6:23 Paul said, “the wages of sin is death.”
10) Once we become guilty of sin, our relationship with God is broken.

b) The book of Genesis teaches that sin spreads and it spreads fast.
c) Sin not only spreads, it often intensifies.
11) Paul said in Rom. 1:21 there were some people who “knew God” but they didn’t follow Him.
12) Rather than choose righteousness, many wanted to live in sin.
13) Let’s start with Rom. 1:25 and read through verse 32 – READ
a) Verse 29 speaks of people being “filled” with sin.
14) On the face of it some sin may appear to be fun.
15) Heb. 11:25 says some sin can be “pleasurable for a sin.”
16) In Prov. 23:29-39 the wise man spoke of those who “tarried at the wine.”

23) Acts 17:30 says there was even a “time of ignorance.”
24) Some sins we commit knowingly and some sins we commit unknowingly.
25) There are also some sins of indifference.
