We do not know (at this point) who will be our next president nor do we know if he (or she) was God’s choice. What we do know is that God wants us to remain faithful to Him regardless. God wants us to pray for our leaders, regardless who they are. God wants us to submit to the laws of man, regardless of what they are (unless they conflict with God’s laws).
So, let us refrain from saying, “It is God’s will…” Or, “God is teaching us something by this choice…” At the most, the best we can say is, “It may be God’s will…” or, “God may be teaching us something…” Let’s not ascribe choices and actions to God that are beyond our limited knowledge and not find ourselves in a position of ascribing poor choices to God that He, in fact, did not make.
