Acts 2:42 – What does “continuing stedfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship” mean?

- We are having “fellowship in the blood/sacrifice of Christ.”
- Each time we participate in the Lord’s Supper we are sharing in the benefits of Jesus’ shed blood.
- The word “fellowship” in Acts 2:42 is used the latter part of 1 Cor. 10:16.
- At first glance the “body of Christ” might seem to mean Jesus’ body on the cross.
- The word “body” can also describe the Lord’s church and that is the meaning here.

- We cannot have “fellowship with God” and “walk in darkness.”
- If we “walk in the light,” we have “fellowship one with another (fellowship with God).
- Fellowship is not just having our name in the church directory; it is being truly connected to God and man.
- This word gives a new meaning to family, friendship, and closeness.
- God invites us to be in “fellowship” with Him.
