INTRODUCTION:
There has been and continues to be much said concerning women both good and bad. A woman may be the best this side of heaven or worse this side of perdition. God’s description must be true; man errs in judgment. Let’s now study God’s description:
A RARE JEWEL – v. 10:
- Hard to find – Diamond in a gravel pit illustrates hard to find. You don’t just go pick it up, you have to search for it. Like sifting for gold, you have to sift out the impurities.
- Value is not in material wealth.
- Value is not in the outward appearance.
HUSBAND’S STAY AND CONFIDENCE – v. 11-12:
True to marriage vows and he trusts with his “purse” – yea, everything!
SHE IS INDUSTRIOUS – v. 13-19, 24, 25, 27:
Queen of the home. An asset rather than a liability.
SHE IS GENEROUS – v. 20-22:
Sympathy is the law of her life.
Being industrious and generous go hand-in-hand.
SHE HONORS HER HUSBAND – v. 23:
Her character, respect and knowledge of her husband are made known by the honor.
She thus fills her own place: 1 Cor. 14:34-35; 1 Tim. 2:12; Titus 2:5.
HER STRENGTH – A BLESSING – v. 25-26:
Proverbs 25:11; Eph. 4:29; Col. 4:6
SHE HAS THE PRAISE OF HER CHILDREN AND HER HUSBAND:
This is a blessing to be coveted and sought after.
Acts 9:39; Rev. 14:13.
Conclusion: Notice the great truths in verses 30-31.
