2. Many ideas about elders and their “children.”

1) Paul said “children” instead of “child,” so must a man have more than one child to serve as an elder?
2) Must all a man’s children be old enough to be Christians? Does “believe” mean “be a Christian”?
3) What does it mean to have a “believing” or a “faithful” child?
i) Does “faithful” mean a child has been baptized and is truly committed to the faith?
ii) If a child become old enough to become a Christian and refuses Christianity, is a father disqualified?
iii) If a child becomes a Christian and then leaves the faith, does this disqualify a man from the eldership?

2) Jesus said He had “guarded” the apostles. The Lord had been the guide, lead and protector for apostles.
i) Was the Lord a “good guard” and a good teacher?
