  2. Even more interesting is where these ladies were from.
  3. 23:55 says these ladies wanted to see the tomb where the Lord’s body was laid to rest.
  4. Verse 56 says they “returned” to where they were staying.
  5. They prepared “spices and ointments” for the Lord’s body.
  6. When the “Sabbath” came, they rested because this was what the Old Testament law required.
• Mark (16:3) tells us the ladies had a conversation about who would roll away the stone.
• 24:2 says these ladies found the stone moved away from the entrance to the tomb.
• Verse 3 in this chapter says they “entered in.”
• Then, (verse 8), Luke said these ladies “remembered” this information about a resurrection.
• Verse 9 tells us they rushed back to tell the 11 apostles (and others) what had happened.

• Peter did choose to go and look (verse 12), as did another disciple, but guess what he did after his investigating?
• Verse 12 says he “went home.” The women spread the news and Peter “went home.”
• Another disciple (presumably John) also went home, Jn. 20:10.
