Pan-Am Flight 103

Do you remember Pan-Am Flight 103 that was shot down over Lockerbie, Scotland? I vaguely remember it occuring in 1988. The mastermind behind the terrorist attack was Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi. He spent years in Scotland in prison. A few years ago, he was released and allowed to return to his home in Libya. He was dying of prostate cancer and was allowed to spend the rest of his days with his family.

When he died May 20th, there was some outrage. New York Senator Charles Shumer said it was a “grave injustice” that al-Megrahi was allowed to die at home. Some family members of the victims argued that they would not have feelings of closure because of the peaceful way he was allowed to die.

There often does not seem to be a sense of justice in this world. Child molestors go unpunished. Rapists often go on in life without being caught. People steal and defraud others and get a slap on the wrist at a minimum. Adolf Hitler never had his day in court. Neither did Joseph Stalin and lots of other brutal dictators.

Leroy Brownlow, in his book God, the Bible, and Common Sense suggests that this sense of a lack of justice in this world argues for some type of justice in the next world. In other words, it makes sense that evil doers still have to have their day in court. Such is an argument, albeit more emotional than logical, for life after death and the existence of God.

If you see specific untypical signs, the call to go to a physician at the earliest turns into an urgent situation. http://downtownsault.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/01-08-14-DDA-Minutes.doc free samples cialis If you were to do this now and had an accident, it is probable the insurance company cialis tab would not pay as your insurance would be deemed to be void. Don’t take it if you are an viagra generic adult below 18 years or if you don’t intend to indulge in sexual intercourse. With this agrees the Word of God. Solomon writes in Ecclesiastes 8:12-13: “Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before him. But it will not be well with the wicked, neither will he prolong his days like a shadow, because he does not fear before God.”

There will be closure one day. We need to be patient and let God take care of the loose ends. He will. Trust Him.
