I suggest we outlaw pressure cookers. They can be deadly. Short of that, I suggest we have a waiting period for people who want to buy pressure cookers. Just think of it. “Pressure” cookers are, no doubt, going to become the weapon of choice for those who are under pressure and just have to explode, preferably in the face of other people. Silly, isn’t it? The simple fact of the matter is that pressure cookers have a legitimate use and the vast majority of people do not use pressure cookers as deadly weapons. Sound familiar? It’s not pressure cookers which kill people. People kill people.

If our society had the morals we ought to have, there would be no violent video games or violent movies because society would not watch them and there would be no market for them.
So, in the wake of the Boston Marathon Massacre, what ought we to do? First, study and live the Word of God ourselves. Second, teach and emulate that doctrine before our children. Third, teach the lost the Word of God. Fourth, support politicians who are the closest to living and teaching principles from the Word God. Fifth, let all your politicians know where you stand when it comes to moral issues.
