1. We should use it as a time of self-reflection. Did we cause evil to come upon ourselves through unwise decisions and actions that are contrary to genuine Christian conduct? Remember, the Bible teaches we will reap what we sow (Gal. 6:8).
2. We should also realize that every evil thing comes not from God, but from Satan! When evil comes our way, we should use that as a reminder of the power and the destructive forces of Satan. Why not use the trials of life to repel us further from Satan and lead us closer to the God of our salvation?
