After making S’mores with the Ghirardelli chocolate that contains caramel, there is NO going back to any other type of chocolate for S’mores. If we can’t find the Ghirardelli in the store for our S’mores (and I wish more places sold the jumbo bags of Ghirardelli’s chocolate), our next favorite candy for S’mores is an Almond Joy bar. The third best we have found is Reese’s Pieces.
If Ghirardelli wanted to improve their market share in the confectioner industry, they could easily create an ad campaign for things like camping to make their candy the #1 chocolate for S’mores. In fact, I may shoot a short video around our campfire ring at our next cookout and send it to the Ghirardelli’s company president.
