Christianity is based on three incontrovertible facts. God exists. Jesus is His Son, by nature. The Bible records the thoughts of God in the words of man. Many people who might accept proposition #1 and proposition #2 don’t seem to grasp the significance of proposition #3.
Years ago when we lived in Romania, we invited a Romanian friend of ours to a gospel meeting we were conducting. After the lesson was over, I asked her if we could study the Bible with her. Her response was something like this: “I don’t understand why anyone would want to live their lives based on a book that’s over 2,000 years old.” There is an illustration of a lack of grasping the significance of the inspiration of the Bible.
Now from the prolific pen of our brother, Dave Miller, comes a new, small book on the inspiration of the Bible: The Bible is From God: A Sampling of Proofs. Related to that chapter, Miller provides a chart at the end of the book with seven pages of Messianic prophecies, their OT passage, the event predicted, and their NT fulfillment.

The first chapter, on the nature of inspiration, is extremely important to grasp. Its content is the stuff that our Romanian friend could not grasp. If the Bible is the word of God, then that means something! It is a unique book, unlike any other book ever given to man and that demands our serious attention.
We would recommend the book for your use for personal Bible study (Highlight every Messianic prophecy in the OT – I did once in Zechariah 11-14 and that was an eye-opener!), for Bible classes, or for use in sermon preparations. This is an extremely important topic that needs to be shared with our churches on a regular basis.
