Paul, one of Jesus’ apostles, wrote of “joy in Jesus” some 17 times in his 104-verse letter of Philippians. He confidently emphasized, “worry about nothing; pray about everything; be thankful for all things” (Phil. 4:6).
The way to be anxious about nothing is to be prayerful about everything. Whatever you worry about, you can pray about. Nothing is too great for His power, nothing is too small for his concern. Everything that concerns us, concerns God. When we share our fears and worries with God, it destroys their power.
The Father’s Gift… Jesus said it is his good will to give us all things. As followers of Jesus, we are sheep in God’s flock, citizens in God’s kingdom, and children in God’s family. Thus, he provides food, rights and privileges, and protection.

When Christ is the center of life, the will of God is the standard of life and the joy of God is the fulness of life, then we can find rest, satisfaction and contentment. We can meet our fears with faith, our worries with prayer and our human anxieties with divine trust.
